A bag of concrete mix yields far less volume than its weight suggests, because most of the weight is aggregate that packs down. THE PUBLISHED YIELDS, and they are the whole calculation: 40 lb bag - 0.30 cubic feet 60 lb bag - 0.45 cubic feet 80 lb bag - 0.60 cubic feet A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet, so that works out at 90, 60 and 45 bags per yard respectively.
