Sensitivity Reference Card
cm/360 is the only figure that compares across games. eDPI is not.

My sensitivity across games
| Game | Yaw | Sens | eDPI | cm/360 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Before you blame your sensitivity
- Windows pointer speed at 6/11 — the only unscaled setting
- Mouse acceleration OFF in Windows AND in game
- 'Enhance pointer precision' unticked
- DPI set on the mouse, not left at a shipping default
- Polling rate set deliberately (1000 Hz is standard)
- Same DPI across every game, so only sens changes
- A 180 fits on the mousepad without lifting
- Mousepad big enough, and not curling at the edges
- Scoped/ADS sensitivity converted too, not left at default
- Settings written down somewhere before you experiment
- One change at a time, then played in for a week
eDPI lies across games
800 eDPI is 51.95 cm/360 in CS2 and 16.33 in Valorant — the same number describing settings three times apart. eDPI is a within-game shorthand only. Compare cm/360 or compare nothing.
The 180 is what your desk has to fit
You rarely do a full 360 in play; you do 180s to check behind you. That is half your cm/360. If it is wider than your pad you must lift and reposition mid-turn — which is exactly when you cannot afford to.
Consistency beats optimisation
Aim is a trained motor skill and changing sensitivity resets the training. Pick a figure that lets you complete a 180 on your pad, write it down, and leave it alone long enough to actually learn it.
